Lugsulation deep is used for electrical conductors where the contact area does not protrude. In this case, the surrounding opposite contact area of the connecting element, e.g. tubular cable lug, is offset downwards in a pot shape. This pot bottom then lies against the contact area. The higher level, which is designed like a balcony, allows a circumferential, mainly radially insertable seal. The main advantage is that no additional components have to be used which could increase contact resistance or be lost during installation. The upper sealing side can be designed like Lugsulation cap or Lugsulation flex. This design is used as an example in switch cabinet construction. Suitable for sealing internal and external threads!
